Although your baby has much less room to move around he continues to do so. If your baby moves alot less than usual you may begin to worry. This is the time to contact your midwife or gynaecologist who are able to monitor what is happening. If you are ever worried then it is reason to call the midwife.
31 weeks pregnant – how is your baby growing?
Your baby is now approximately 40 centimetres long and weighs about 1500 grams. Around this week the baby settles into a position. 96% of babies lie with their head downwards, ready for delivery. It can be that your baby is now lying downwards but will turn again so that the head is upwards and then once more turn so that the head is down again. Once the baby is descended it can no longer turn. In week 31 a boys testicals will drop down into the scrotum. Up to now the testicals have been hidden in his abdominal cavity close to the kidneys.
