26 weeks pregnant – the changes in you
Most pregnant women have problems with their backs. This is to be expected as it is a weak spot but you can reduce the back problems by watching out for your posture. It is better not to wear high heels, for example. Also ensure you are aware of the way in which you lift things or better still avoid lifting things altogether. Last but not least, enjoy a massage of your lower back, just above the dimples of your buttocks (or where they have now settled).
26 weeks pregnant – how is your baby growing?

Your baby is now approximately 35 centimetres long and weighs about 800 grams. The placenta is as big as the baby. The baby’s blood circulation is fully functional. If your baby was to be born now he would have about 90% chance of survival. That is a comforting thought although it is of course not the intention for him to be born yet. He or she must still grow in the safety of the uterus.
