23 weeks pregnant – the changes in you
It is possible that you notice a dark line on your belly. This line runs from the pubic bone to just above the navel. This line will disappear after delivery but can take quite a time. Also you may have small hairs growing towards the naval area. These do not disappear after delivery but can be removed if you find them a nuisance.
23 weeks pregnant – how is your baby growing?

Your baby is now approximately 30 centimetres long and weighs about 500 grams. The skull hardens in some places except the fontanel. The soft places remain for a long time even up to the age of 18 months. Thanks to these soft places the skull can squash together during the birth. The head then passes more easily through the birth canal. If your baby were to be born at 23 weeks it has a 65% chance of survival.
